Megan Armitage signs for Arkéa Pro Cycling Team
Irish climber Megan Armitage has signed a contract with the Arkéa Pro Cycling Team. This is the 10th riders for the 2023 season.

“I am really grateful for the opportunity that Arkéa Pro Cycling Team has given me. I want to take this chance to race for a team that has been in the women’s professional peloton for a few seasons now. I am a young rider with a moderate experience of high level cycling as I have only been riding for two years. I would like to continue to grow and take advantage of all that I have learnt in my new team. My main objective will be to target races for female climbers and to launch myself into the big time with a full calendar. My dream races are the Giro and the Tour de France for women. I would like to have the chance to race in these two events during my career. I am especially looking forward to meeting my new teammates and to the start of the 2023 season”.
“Megan Armitage is the 10th and final recruit to the Arkéa Pro Cycling Team for the 2023 season, but also the first British rider to join our team. She is a climber, and in fact has already demonstrated her qualities by finishing 11th in last year’s Tour International de l’Ardèche, while working on this event for her leaders. Freed from such a task, she can this year reserve some nice surprises on the women’s calendar, alongside two other climbers of the Arkéa Pro Cycling Team. The team’s objective is of course to obtain a second selection for the Tour de France for women”.
