Gréta Richioud: "The KBE, a race like I like''

Gréta Richioud is in good shape after the Tour de France Femmes and intends to build on her current condition, especially at the Keiz Breizh Élites this Thursday.

Pre-race

“The race format has changed by becoming a road race, but I have already looked at the profile proposed for this Keiz Breizh Élites 2022, it is similar to what the organisers proposed in previous years. The line circuit will be a “pain in the ass”, and the final course will be very tiring. This race can be favourable to breakaways. I like this kind of punishing race. That’s what suits me best. I came out of the Tour de France Femmes in good shape, and my goal is to continue to build on this good form, taking every opportunity that might come my way.

The briefing

“The Keiz Breizh Élites this year becomes a road race whereas previous editions were contested over several stages. The course is still tough, the bumps are not particularly difficult but it is the repetition of them that makes this race selective as well as the distance proposed, 140 kilometres. One can expect a race of movement, especially as the final circuit is far from being simple. There is a great possibility that the race will be decisive at this point”.
