Dwars door de Westhoek and Grand Prix Schelkens : Grégoire Le Calvé "Keep the momentum going

The Flemish races are back! The Arkéa Pro Cycling Team will participate in Dwars door de Westhoek this Sunday. On Monday the Grand Prix Schelkens will take place.

Marie-Morgane Le Deunff

“I’m happy to be back with the team that I haven’t been with since the Grand Prix du Morbihan. The races that we are going to run on Sunday and Monday suit us. They are the type of races where we have the potential to be present by going in the breakaways. Both races have an identical profile and can be an advantage for the team.”

“I have recovered well from the Thüringen Ladies Tour. I’m going to discover Dwars door de Westhoek and the Grand Prix Schelkens. These are races that usually end in a sprint. I like the races that wear out but it will depend on the tasks given and my role, but of course if I have to try things I will.”

Maryanne Hinault

“This will be a first for me, Dwars door de Westhoek and the Schelkens Grand Prix are nervous races with cobbled sectors, small roads, and potentially curbs… It’s often a question of placement. There is not a lot of difference in altitude. I will also continue to gain experience. I’ll put myself at the service of the team.”

Grégoire Le Calvé

“Two races in Belgium, the first one, Dwars door de Westhoek, the second one the Grand Prix Schelkens. These are very tactical races, with flat roads, not very demanding. We will start with the same idea as the Thüringen Ladies Tour: to race. The important thing is to keep the momentum going and hopefully that will be good news for the whole team.”
