Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge

The first women’s edition of the Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge will take place next week. The opportunity for the Arkéa Pro Cycling Team to set course for the Mont Ventoux.

Before the race

“I’m looking forward to getting back to the team and hanging up a race number. My last race before my accident was Paris-Roubaix. A re-run on the Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge will allow me to get back into the swing of things quickly and to evaluate my current form.”

Before the race

“After the Thüringen Ladies Tour I did a training session in the mountains with the French team. I did a good training block before participating in the Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge. This week allowed me to recover to attack the next days. The Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge is made for female climbers, I’m going to hold on as long as I can and obviously give my best to help the team.”

The Briefing

“The Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge won’t offer any big surprises because of the way it will be run. The Col de la Gabelle will be the first highlight of the race with a 10km climb. The finale will be the Mont Ventoux and its final climb to the top. Morgane will undoubtedly be very comfortable with the slopes, she has demonstrated this perfectly over the last few days. Moreover, Yuliia who is in great shape will be our second asset. We have at heart to do well because we have the cards to do so.
