Grand Prix Féminin de Chambéry, Mélanie Briot: "a new challenge"

The Grand Prix Féminin de Chambéry will be Mélanie Briot’s first race as sports director of the Arkéa Pro Cycling Team.

Clara Emond

“This will be my second race in the Alps. I participated last year in the Alpes Grésivaudan Classic. I think that the Grand Prix Féminin de Chambéry is a competition that can suit the team and myself. It is a circuit race, which is difficult with some nice bumps to negotiate. I enjoy racing in these types of events because they are usually fast paced and not too much down time.”

Mélanie Briot, sports director

“It’s a new challenge for me. I’ll be in the big bath starting Sunday. It’s great to be back on the women’s circuit. The Grand Prix Féminin de Chambéry is a tough race. There are not a lot of kilometers to cover, but the race is tough. We will have our climbers with Maaike Coljé, Clara Emond and Megan Armitage who will be accompanied by strong teammates.”
